LOST

Deep into the dark realms
Lost and confused and forlorn
Strange faces stare from the shadows
Dogs snap and snarl at your heels

In the desert you dwell
The heat so intense
Your mouth so dry
You drown in your sweat

Your feet fails you
You reach out your hands
You grab the space
Your face hits the sand

At every turn a silent whisper
Is that your name you hear
You strain your ears to hear
The silence is deafening

A foul wind comes from the south
And sweeps you off your feet
You spiral in the wind
You get hit by a feather

Like a meteor you hit the earth
The feather stuck to your chest
Gently it crushes you
Air escapes from all your holes

Escape your mind screams
To where? You don’t know
Anywhere, anywhere but here
You hear them again

Boots and hoofs running down the asphalt
You scurry into a corner
Lucky you think
So close you say

Yeah close indeed you are
From the dark behind
A cold hard grip on your shoulder
You freeze icy shivers racks your spine

Your feet wont obey
Your voice flees away
Give up here? No . No
The black blood runs true

Your will is strong
Your mind wont yield
This can’t be the end
It can’t end this way

Another hand grabs you
You hear your name
Yes that voice is familiar
You listen again to be sure

Yes it faint but it’s there
The voice of your father
What is he doing here
Just as you are about to ask

A bright light blinds your eyes
You reach up to shield your eyes
You are forcefully dragged into the light
You wake up
